Concrete Driveway Repair & Resurfacing in San Antonio

Not every cracked driveway needs to be torn out. If the slab is still structurally sound, a good concrete contractor can seal cracks, level sunken sections, and resurface the top to buy you many more years — for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Repairs worth doing

  • Crack sealing. Hairline and small cracks filled with a flexible concrete-grade sealant to keep water and roots out.
  • Slab jacking / mudjacking / polyjacking. Lifting sunken sections by pumping material underneath. Common where a section by the garage or apron has settled.
  • Spall and edge repair. Rebuilding crumbling edges or shallow surface pits.
  • Resurfacing. A thin, bonded overlay of polymer-modified concrete poured over the existing slab to give you a fresh finish.
  • Sealing. A penetrating sealer to slow water intrusion and freeze-thaw damage.

When repair is not enough

Resurfacing is cosmetic-plus-structural, not magic. If the slab is broken into pieces, if sections have moved independently of each other, or if cracks are actively growing every year, you're better off with a full driveway replacement. A good contractor will tell you when repair is throwing good money after bad.

What to expect on site

Most driveway repair jobs are a one-day or two-day scope. Slab jacking is often finished the same day and you can usually drive on it within hours. A full resurface takes longer because the overlay needs cure time before traffic.

What affects the price

  • How many linear feet of cracks need sealing
  • How many square feet need to be lifted, and how far they've dropped
  • Whether you're resurfacing the whole driveway or just a section
  • Whether you want a decorative overlay finish vs. plain
